File Sorting dilemma in Windows Explorer?? - alphatest.jpg (1/1)
The problem I have run into is that when the items are sorted they arent done like they would be in windows explorer. For example if I had folders named Test 1, Test 2, Test 10 then it would output them as Test 1, Test 10, Test 2. I even tried putting them in an array and then sorting them with the array sort

This happens in all my programs (AutoCAD, windows explorer, word....) Any ideas how to change that? Clicking on the category bar will sort the files. You can sort by any of the categories listed, such as file name, type, size, etc. Yes, I know I can sort them manually, but that is not the point.

Sort by Name was added in an effort to make all users happy. If you look at the file names -- XP is ignoring the leading zeros and is sorting the values incrementally: 11, 31, 130. Other versions of Windows sort these same files 0-9, one digit at a time. So what is logical to you is mishmash to someone else.
